What They Said
“I commissioned Hellow to help realise a research project and I found them to be excellent web designers, both in terms of technical design and clarity of vision, and in terms of creative input. I recommend Hellow as a dedicated developers who bring enthusiasm to every project they works on.”
Dr Shane McCorristine — Newcastle University
Newcastle Gaol
This project is one that is very close to our hearts. Newcastle University approached us to create an engaging history of the former Prison in Newcastle. Closed in 1925 and ultimately demolished the prison was once a huge, imposing structure that housed many infamous prisoners and even played host to c19th and early c20th executions. Newcastle University wanted a site that recaptured some of the prison’s lost history and presented it in an engaging way to both a public and academic audience. We had to build the site at a time when the pandemic had shut all the archives, so this was a particularly difficult challenge, but one we loved tackling.
